Keene State College invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach multiple courses in the Athropology Program for the Fall 2024 semester. This is a part-time non-benefited position. Course title: ISANTH -110 Cultural Anthropology M/W 10:00 AM 11:45 AM 8/26/2024 12/13/2024 Introduction to anthropological knowledge and understanding of human cultures and societies. Cross-cultural comparison and review of tribal and industrialized societies. Application of anthropological concepts to provide understanding of other cultures and ones own culture. Course title: ISANTH -111 Archaeology and Biological Anthropology M/W 12:00 PM 1:45 PM 8/26/2024 12/13/2024 An introduction to the biological and cultural evolution of human addition to the prehistoric record the course will cover primatology human variation and problems of theory and practice in archeology. Our students come from diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds with a high percentage of first-generation college students. By the time Keene State College students complete their undergraduate experience they develop critical thinking creative inquiry intercultural competence civic engagement and commitments to well-being and to sustainability that will serve them as active citizens and lifelong learners. Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or ABD in Anthropology preferred; Masters degree in Anthropology considered. At least 2 years of undergraduate teaching in Anthropology at the College level.
