The Superior Court of Fulton County Georgia (“Court”) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant III.

Superior Court is Georgia's busiest trial court of general jurisdiction. The Court seeks to provide a forum in which legal disputes between citizens can be resolved in a fair and efficient process with attention to equal access, impartiality, efficiency, and safety. After joining the Court, you will become part of a fast-paced team dedicated to providing the citizens of Fulton County with the service they deserve.

Position Overview
This position performs operational duties related to providing administrative support. Responsibilities include performing specialized and complex administrative duties, organizing and coordinating formal ceremonies and special events, and providing lead direction to assigned staff as required.

Essential Duties:
  • Provides high-level administrative support operations within a court division. 
  • Analyzes issues affecting assigned functions, provides recommendations, and makes decisions to facilitate resolution. Identifies ways to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Perform high-volume calendar management and coordination, timekeeping, and departmental recruitment coordination.
  • Conducts research and compiles information. Prepares and distributes various reports and other forms of correspondence.
  • Screens incoming calls and/or visitors and determines where to refer inquiries. Addresses inquiries from other departments and the general public.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all correspondence and documents.
  • Receives, maintains, updates, and verifies information for required reporting.
  • Enters data and manages databases. Orders and maintains office supplies and inventory.
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Coordinates implementation of special projects, budgets, and grants.
 
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires knowledge of principles and practices of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures governing area of assignment. Theories and principles of basic mathematics. Principles and practices of budget administration, recordkeeping, and basic records management. Billing, payroll, and/or procurement practices. General office practices, procedures, equipment, and technology.
Requires skill in delivering high quality, customer-focused service. Organizing and prioritizing work. Resolving problems. Organizing and coordinating formal ceremonies and/or special events. Maintaining accurate records. Using spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation, financial/accounting and other software to gather, organize, analyze, and present information. Understanding, using, and explaining Court-specific computer applications to manage court processes, gather and analyze statistics, and create reports. Building sustainable working relationships with other County personnel, officials, and the public. Communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisor, and the public. Generating enthusiasm and support for program objectives.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required; (Associate's degree in business or public administration, business education, or related field is preferred) and three or more years of administrative office support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensing Requirements:
May require a valid Georgia driver’s license and/or certification as a Notary Public.
