Hostess at the Marriott Buttes Resort
Job description BASIC PURPOSE: Greet and seat all guests, answer phone calls, taking reservations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet and direct all guests.
- Ensure all tables are properly set before seating guests.
- Answer phone properly and follow all reservation procedures.
- Organize and maintain a clean station.
- Assist barista in taking orders and enter into point of sales.
- Collect payment and make correct change when necessary.
- Prepare coffee and drink orders according to specifications.
- Package and deliver food orders.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain an inventory of needed supplies.
- Ensure all menus are clean before shift.
- Be familiar with hotel facilities and their location and hours.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Education: Ability to read and write English.
- Skills and Abilities: Communication and hospitality skills (English required).
- Ability to answer phones.
- Ability to work with money.
- No. of employees supervised: None.
- Travel required: None.
- Hours Required: Full-time required to work 30 plus hours weekly.
- Part-time required to work less than 30 hours weekly.
- Scheduled hours and days may vary based on need.
