This position works closely with world-renowned Principal Investigators and other research team members who specialize in pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis, diseases that cause progressive scarring of the lungs and shortness of breath. CRCs will have the opportunity to work on clinical trials that include new therapies for pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis and lung transplant rejection. We also investigate precision genetics, matching patients' genes to target therapy and using gene expression to identify predictive biomarkers for disease progression. Our investigators also closely examine the immune system to understand why and how some patients have susceptibility to progressive pulmonary disease.
