Job Description

Salary: $95,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with 13+ years of experience or Masters degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% based on client needs and project requirements
  • Must be based locally in St. Louis, Missouri or Norfolk, Virginia, and available to work onsite 5 days a week
  • IAT LEVEL III certification (CASP, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH)
  • Over 8 years of hands-on experience with SIEM integration
  • In-depth knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience with firewalls, content filtering, and endpoint protection
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) for cybersecurity infrastructure and applications
  • Carry out cybersecurity WAN risk assessments as part of the Cyber Division
  • Evaluate the security posture of enterprise environments within the Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Perform thorough technical assessments and detailed analyses of vulnerability scans to ensure adherence to Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and NIST standards
  • Execute manual audits of network defense strategies and protocols within IC environments
  • Analyze vulnerability scans, intrusion detection system logs, and related telemetry to identify potential security risks
  • Assess compliance with relevant security controls, including NIST 800-53 Rev 5
  • Conduct manual reviews of network defense policies and procedures, identifying risks and suggesting mitigations
  • Collaborate with site technical staff, leadership, and cross-domain teams to collect data and coordinate remediation activities
  • Participate in inspection planning, execution, and reporting with minimal supervision, producing clear and concise deliverables
  • Mentor and assist Level 1 Intrusion Detection Reporters (IDRs) with cybersecurity tasks
  • Keep abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in network defense
  • Travel as required to conduct onsite inspections at various IC facilities, with an average of 8-12 weeks of travel including potential international trips
