Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Grant Writer to work hybrid with our client, a world-class academic and research institution. In this role, you will support the Division of Primary Care and Population Health (PCPH) in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from local and family foundations. The Grant Writer will collaborate with faculty, program leads, and the Vice Chief of Research to craft compelling, compliant proposals that advance community-focused research initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesGrant Strategy and Development (50%)
Identify, research, and evaluate potential local and family foundation funding opportunities that align with PCPH's mission.
Collaborate with faculty and program leads to develop competitive grant proposals and supporting documents.
Write clear, persuasive narratives that translate complex research concepts into accessible and compelling language for funding audiences.
Assist principal investigators in preparing administrative components of grant submissions.
Coordinate proposal timelines, internal reviews, and submission deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.
Proposal Management and Coordination (30%)
Manage multiple proposal workflows simultaneously, ensuring adherence to sponsor requirements and institutional policies.
Maintain records of proposals, deadlines, and outcomes.
Support faculty in the preparation of budgets, justifications, and documentation as needed.
Participate in internal grant strategy discussions and planning sessions.
Compliance and Institutional Collaboration (20%)
Ensure proposals comply with institutional, sponsor, and federal guidelines including IRB and NIH requirements.
Collaborate with Stanford offices including RMG, OSR, SeRA, and Authority Manager to facilitate smooth submissions.
Monitor policy changes and best practices in grant writing and research administration.
Report funding activity, priorities, and progress to leadership as requested.
Master's degree (required) in a relevant field such as Communications, Public Health, or Research Administration.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in grant writing or research proposal development within higher education, nonprofit, or research environments.
Demonstrated success in developing and submitting proposals for federal, state, and foundation funding.
Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
Knowledge of research compliance processes , including IRB and NIH guidelines.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with faculty and research staff.
Experience with Stanford systems such as RMG, OSR, SeRA, Cayuse Proposals, FFIT/My Projects, eCertification, OPACS, and Authority Manager.
Familiarity with local and family foundation funding landscapes.
Proven ability to synthesize scientific or academic information into clear, persuasive proposals.
Experience tracking metrics and generating progress reports for leadership.
