Join the team at Glidden Paving, an employee-owned company located in Gorham, Maine that has been a leader in the paving and construction industry since 1986. From our humble beginnings with a pick-up truck and five employees, we have grown to become a full-service construction and paving company with a reputation for excellence and a commitment to quality.
We are seeking a qualified candidate to take on the role of Paving Foreman for one of our commercial paving crews. Candidate would work directly under the Paving Superintendent, and assist in leading a paving crew.
Candidate should have knowledge and experience with all aspects of running a crew including the following:
Managing and directing a 7-8 person crew to complete the project efficiently, following and making sure their team works safely and follows all safety protocols, ordering trucks for each days operation, contact with the asphalt plant for ordering materials, calculating daily quantities required, proper job site layout, knowledge of MaineDOT and Maine Turnpike Authority specifications and best practices, experience with paver automation and compaction requirements. Able to fill in and assist operating wheel, rollers, pavers, raking, etc. Completing daily reports and paperwork.
Limited night and weekend work, and no traveling.
This is a full time year round position. Seasonal would be considered.
