  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and healthy lifestyle choices, with sensitivity to the needs of geriatric patients.
  • Prescribe medications and perform minor procedures within the scope of practice and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive management of chronic diseases and complex health issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in medical knowledge and best practices.

Skills:

The required skills such as kindness toward others are essential for building trust and rapport with patients, especially within the geriatric population who may require additional emotional support. Expertise in internal medicine and family practice enables the Physician Assistant to accurately diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions encountered daily. Working knowledge of geriatric care ensures that treatment plans are tailored to the unique physiological and psychosocial needs of older adults.
