Position Overview

The Project Coordinator at Aqua-Chem is responsible for assisting the Project Management team in the delivery of projects within budget and schedule while maintaining communication with the customer.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $55,000 - $88,000

Essential Duties:

• Support project managers in the execution of a project once a PO is received

• Manage project document tracking, submittal receipt and distribution process

• Participate in project status meetings, providing detailed updates on assigned projects.

• Report on the status of project documents

• Assist in monitoring the overall project schedules and budgets of all projects under his responsibility and taking appropriate measures in case of deviations to meet the schedule and within budget.

• Assist in monitors the quality, safety and other requirements set for the realization of the project.

• Checks and ensures that the commissioning of the installation is coordinated and carried out as specified.

• Serve as point of contact with clients for projects when project managers are unavailable or when requested by a project manager.

• Maintain project records, logs and files

• Prepare and distribute standard weekly/monthly reports

• Provide support for Factory Acceptance Tests and on-site customer coordination and scheduling

• Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

• AS Degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred

• 1 - 3 years administrative experience in a technical environment; or 2+ years as an engineering assistant or EIT

• Experience with engineering and/or manufacturing project management preferred

Requirements:

• US Citizenship required, if assigned to Military projects/contracts.

• Strong computer skills to include MS Office products, MS Project and Adobe Acrobat

• Understand how to use and operate databases. Previous experience with ERP systems preferred

• Able to work overtime as required
