Job Description

The Sales & Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for driving ticket revenue, expanding audience reach, and strengthening the Bishop Arts Theatre brand through strategic sales initiatives and data-driven digital marketing. This role leads campaign planning, audience acquisition, partnerships, and analytics across all digital platforms while aligning marketing efforts with the theatre’s artistic mission, programming calendar, and community impact goals. The position requires equal parts creativity, discipline, and commercial awareness. Responsibilities: • Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute ticket sales strategies to maximize attendance and revenue across all productions and events
  • Build and manage group sales, subscriptions, memberships, and special promotions
  • Identify and pursue partnerships, sponsorships, and community collaborations that support sales goals
  • Track sales performance, forecast revenue, and adjust strategies based on real-time data
Digital Marketing Strategy
  • Plan and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns aligned with the theatre’s season, programming, and brand voice
  • Manage all digital platforms, including website content, email campaigns, social media channels, and paid advertising
  • Oversee content creation that drives engagement, conversions, and brand awareness
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital touchpoints
Audience Development & Analytics
  • Analyze audience data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth
  • Segment audiences and tailor campaigns to improve acquisition, retention, and loyalty
  • Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, engagement metrics, ROI, and customer lifetime value
  • Produce regular performance reports with actionable insights for leadership
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with Artistic, Production, Development, and Box Office teams to align sales and marketing efforts
  • Coordinate marketing timelines with production schedules and organizational priorities
  • Manage external vendors, freelancers, and advertising partners as needed
  • Contribute strategically to long-term organizational growth and sustainability planning
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Arts Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, digital marketing, or audience development, preferably in performing arts, entertainment, or nonprofit sectors
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue, ticket sales, or growth targets
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including email marketing, social media, paid ads, SEO, and content strategy
  • Experience with CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and marketing analytics tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during productions and events
