Job summary -

Maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees and protect all assets of the hotel and assure compliance with our policies and procedures .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

  • Screen all employees, guests and visitors using the employee entrance.

  • Locate and identify safety hazards and security breaches within the hotel.

  • Monitor electronic surveillance equipment as needed to observe all activity within all property areas.

  • Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Use proper radio communication procedures.

  • Patrol and observe all activities within the property.

  • Report and investigate any occurrences or incidents within the hotel.

  • Assure that key control procedures are strictly enforced.

  • Complete reports, forms and documentation.

  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding employees, guests or incidents.

  • Maintain a professional image and demeanor.

  • Assure that only authorized hotel property or packages leave the hotel via the employee entrance. Inspect all packages, purses, etc., as needed.

  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Technical Skills -

  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to answer phones with positive attitude and disposition.
  • Able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.

Education or Certification -

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Language -

  • Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, stand, walk and sit for long periods.
