**Description** Department: Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) Team Weekly Hours: 12-20 hours Reports To: Director, Workplace Violence Prevention Program **Position Summary:** The Administrative Intern will support strategic initiatives of the Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) Team, including de-escalation training, data analysis, and policy review. This role offers hands-on experience in healthcare operations, safety strategy, and organizational development. **Key Responsibilities:** + Data Analysis - Analyze data streams to identify workplace violence trends and develop summary tables. + Coordinate AVADE de-escalation training logistics (room booking, HLC offerings, supply management). + Identify gaps and misalignments in existing policies and procedures; support revision process in collaboration with WVP Team. + Assist in creating and implementing WVP resources for leaders and front-line staff. **Learning Opportunities:** + Gain exposure to a system-wide program focused on safety and security of all employees, patients and visitors. + Participate in de-escalation and WVP training sessions. + Contribute to the development of violence risk screening tools and safety protocols. **Required Qualifications:** + Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field. + Strong organizational and communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Interest in workplace safety, healthcare operations, and policy development. **Additional Details** Emory is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
