• Must have an active NY State License.
• Must be Board Certified.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner:

• Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient’s condition or illness.
• Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
• Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests.
• Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection.
• Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury.
• Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness.
• Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans.
• Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems.
