Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Intake & Compliance Specialist to manage constituent complaints and regulatory analysis. This role is critical in ensuring that public inquiries are handled with empathy, legal accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex Florida statutes and public communication, ensuring every case is documented and resolved according to state standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesConstituent Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for complainants; conduct interviews to gather comprehensive details regarding filed complaints.
Statutory Analysis: Review and interpret Florida state statutes to determine the validity of complaints and identify potential regulatory violations.
Case Advisory: Clearly communicate the Division's jurisdiction to the public; explain the rationale for case closures and provide professional guidance on the next steps.
Resource Referral: Identify and provide appropriate resources or external referrals for constituents when cases fall outside the Division's authority.
Professional Correspondence: Draft and finalize written communications to complainants following supervisor approval.
System Management: Ensure data integrity by closing cases in the Versa system using accurate codes and statutes, and maintaining meticulous action logs within OnBase .
Communication Excellence: Ability to convey complex legal or procedural information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Analytical Ability: Strong reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and apply state statutes to real-world scenarios.
Public Relations Experience: Proven track record of working with the public in a professional environment, demonstrating exceptional customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
Organizational Mastery: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple case files simultaneously while meeting strict project timelines.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to quickly learn and navigate specialized database systems (experience with Versa or OnBase is a plus).
Commitment: Must be able to commit to the full duration of the project timeline.
Professionalism: Maintain a high level of confidentiality and decorum when dealing with sensitive constituent issues.
