Seeking fitness student/athlete, health-oriented, Austin area, flexible schedule, interest in wellness + neurodiversity.

We currently have 2 openings for part time mentors w/flexible scheduling. We are hiring compassionate, trustworthy Companion Partners/Mentors to provide support for a kind, high-functioning 26‑year‑old autistic young adult living in a brand-new, vibrant Apartment community in East Austin.

He’s a graduate of the Austin Community College STEPS program and will be continuing his education next semester. He’s upbeat, active, employed, & fun to be around.

Companionship/Mentor duties for the Evening shift :

• Arrive by 6:00 PM each evening (no cooking required — meals are already provided)
• Offer light companionship and conversation in a peaceful, friendly environment
• Enjoy a private room + private bath in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment
• Be a calm overnight presence until the morning team arrives
• Flat-rate pay for evening shifts: $640–$960/month depending on number of shifts. 2–3 evenings per week, flexible schedule
• Perfect for students, athletes, creatives, or anyone who values purpose-driven work & quiet evenings to read, rest, or study … or anyone who is calm, caring, and seeking purpose-driven work

Companion/Mentor duties for the Daytime shift :

• 10am-6pm
• Provide active one-on-one mentoring and support in the home and out in the community
• Encourage participation in daily activities such meal prep, working, volunteering, attending college, socializing, sports, karaoke, yoga, kayaking, hiking, social clubs & about town in Austin; museums, libraries, long center cultural events & going to all the fun about town things there are to do in Austin
• Model & Mentor healthy living while building friendship & trust as a companion
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to document daily activities
• Implement respectful, gentle behavior supports

You’d Be a Great Fit If You:

• Are extremely reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and tech-savvy
• Live in Austin ( East side preferred )
• Are kind, grounded, and enjoy being physically active
• Have experience supporting autistic individuals and/or knowledge of caregiving techniques & best practices
• Are organized, dependable, and respectful of routines
• Believe in inclusive communities and making the world a little better each day
