Job Title: Construction Safety Coordinator
Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL 32240

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Coordinator to lead and support jobsite safety across active construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, fostering a strong safety culture, and partnering closely with project teams from preconstruction through project closeout. The ideal candidate will collaborate with superintendents, subcontractors, and leadership to maintain safe, compliant, and efficient job sites.
Develop, implement, communicate, and monitor jobsite safety programs in compliance with federal, state, and local OSHA regulations
Conduct routine and comprehensive jobsite safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
Recommend and track corrective actions based on inspection findings and hazard assessments
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; coordinate corrective measures with safety leadership
Design and deliver safety training programs aligned with project needs and organizational objectives
Facilitate new-hire safety orientations and job-specific hazard training to promote a proactive safety culture
Stay current on OSHA regulations, safety codes, and construction industry best practices
Review superintendent-led toolbox talks for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Prepare, maintain, and manage safety documentation, including incident reports and project safety records
Encourage timely reporting of unsafe conditions, near-misses, and workplace injuries
Support emergency response efforts and demonstrate strong incident management skills
Perform additional safety-related duties as assigned to support projects from preconstruction through completion
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
3-5 years of experience overseeing jobsite safety in commercial construction
Experience supporting ground-up construction projects in healthcare, financial, commercial, or light industrial sectors preferred
Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance requirements
Ability to travel 60-75% of the time for short-duration trips
Valid driver’s license with the ability to visit multiple job sites
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to manage shifting priorities
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with sound judgment
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the primary language used in the workplace
